Credit Controller

They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance department. The Credit Controller will play a crucial role in managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payment from clients, and minimizing the risk of bad debts. Responsibilities:

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
• Review and assess credit applications and make recommendations for credit limits
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoicing or payments
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status
• Liaise with internal departments to address any billing or payment issues
• Prepare regular reports on aged debt and cash flow forecasts
• Work closely with the sales team to establish credit terms for new clients
• Continuously evaluate and improve credit control processes and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and compliance standards
