What will you be doing?
You will be not only working independently but as part of a successful Outsourced Solutions team. As you will have experience of handling a caseload/ worked in the insurance industry you will be ready to handle your own caseload of delegated Credit Hire files. You will be confident reviewing quantum, valuing general and special damages and finalising case plans, including providing next steps advice. As well as drafting documents such as applications, offers, proposed orders and directions.
You will refer cases for supervision and guidance to ensure the correct procedure and process is following and escalating when appropriate. Effectively run each case ensuring all are dealt with in compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Law Society Practice Management Standards but don’t worry, full training will be given!
You will regularly handle telephone negotiations, liaise with third party solicitors and insurers, own insurer clients and lay clients’ whilst recording the outcome of those approaches.

What do I need?
Credit hire experience is essential as the primary role is Credit Hire based. You will need to have completed a law degree, LPC or GDL or have a minimum of 12 months experience in a claim handling role, handling preferably a defendant or insurer caseload. Previous supervisory experience would also be advantageous.
