Function: Finance
Location: Edinburgh (Gyle)
Salary: £23,148 base, plus full benefits listed below.

Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Latest Closing date: 2nd April 2024. Please note, that we may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!
As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.
There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Credit Risk Administrator to join our Finance team.
About the role
Reporting into the Credit Risk Manager, this role will provide accurate and effective administration support to the Star Pubs & Bars Credit Control team. Providing support in the management of email mailboxes, producing reports, cash allocation and customer reconciliations.
This role is to support the Credit Control team in meeting SLAs and delivering an efficient Credit Control service to customers. This is an excellent opportunity as a foot in the door to the world of Credit Control, as a new role you’ll be able to mould it into your own and truly excel in the position!
Who we’re looking for
This role isn’t customer facing, but you’ll be required to provide excellent service to our internal teams, so great communication skills are key! Ideally, you’ll have some administration experience and comfortable with excel.
If you have;

  • The ability to use your initiative – we’re looking for someone who can see what needs done and crack on.
  • Good communication skills – able to explain what you need and ask questions when you don’t understand something.
  • A curious mindset – be nosey! We want someone who can ask why we do things the way we do. We love to be challenged and would appreciate your fresh perspective.

Then this could be the role for you!
We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked when it comes to skillsets.
Our Ways of Working
Heineken’s Global Purpose is to “brew the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a better world” and to fulfil this we believe in working closely with each other and collaborating f2f when we can. To enable this, we ask colleagues to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and one other day of the colleague’s choice.
Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • An annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
The Application
If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply as soon as possible. We may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!
If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example, if you require information in different formats, or if you have any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes – please feel free to get in touch with us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.
In all likelihood the ideal candidate for this role won’t meet every single requirement in this advert we all need the opportunity to grow and develop in the role. We understand some applicants are less likely to apply to jobs unless they feel they meet every single qualification. The team at HEINEKEN would encourage you to apply if the advert has piqued your interest rather than ruling yourself out based on any self-limiting beliefs. You never know, you may be exactly what we’re looking for!
Who We Are
We’ve 150 years of brewing history and are proud of this legacy. Yet we’re sure our best days are ahead of us. Every one of our colleagues has a role to play as we dream big, set bold ambitions and push the boundaries. We support colleagues on this journey with development opportunities and unique experiences to help them reach their full potential.
