Job Role: CSW - Senior Practitioner - Duty and Assessment
The Senior Practitioner will be a key member of the Duty and Assessment team with the primary function of screening and responding to all new referrals into children’s social care. They will support the team in delivering high quality and effective services to children, young people, and their families/carers. They will manage an agreed caseload and actively promote and safeguard the welfare of children who live in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, complying with relevant legislation and regulation, and maintaining the highest professional standards, including the most complex cases. This role will require the provision of clear written reports to child protection conferences, reviews, planning meetings, court proceedings and any other purpose as required, ensuring good quality casework analysis and risk assessments are evident throughout. The Senior Practitioner will provide casework
consultation to other social workers in the team as directed by the Team Leader or Head of Safeguarding. They will champion and support continuous professional development within the team. This may also include supervising students, trainees, less experienced professional team members, support staff or volunteers.
As a Social worker you must have a degree in Social work with a minimum 2 years post qualifying experience and passed your AYSE, experience in an NHS Establishment or a local authority is desirable.
To act in accordance with SWE registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
To provide professional Social work assessments to support the commissioning process in line with care management and continuing care.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social work are essential to apply for this role.
