The opportunity we have:
Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity to join South Essex Colleges Group as a Curriculum Leader, Construction & Building Services Apprenticeships within our School of Building Services at Basildon College (Luckyn Lane campus).
As a Curriculum Leader you will contribute to the operational management, development and performance for the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment.
Your primary focus will be to work with both the Head of School and College Principal to enhance the curriculum and provide an enriched learner experience. You will be responsible for the performance management of a team of staff to ensure high quality delivery with innovative teaching and learning assessments to ensure all learners meet or exceed their predicated outcomes, whilst leading the effective planning and delivery of the curriculum.
As Curriculum Leader, you will be expected to role model outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum, effectively managing the student experience, progress and welfare within the curriculum to achieve consistently high outcomes.
As a minimum, candidates will ideally possess the following:
- You will need to hold a teaching qualification and have a passion for this subject area along with a degree in this subject area and at least 5 years of successful teaching experience.
- Proven successful experience in Curriculum Leadership and development.
- Experience of leading and managing quality improvement strategies and assurance processes
- Proven experience of leading and managing improvements in teaching, learning & assessment
- Up to date knowledge & experience of the government strategy and managing FE, HE, apprenticeships and adult curriculum.
- Clear understanding and knowledge of diverse study programmes
