Job Description Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to lead customer support activities for civil and military customers ensuring a high level of service. As well as personally managing all transactions for a number of key customer accounts, this role will be responsible for leading a small team of customer account managers providing coaching, direction and guidance when required. Responsible for key performance metrics for your team, you will be confident handling data and setting priorities for yourself and the team which will be most impactful for the business. You will be able to work with other departments to advocate for your customers and to drive process improvements across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer all transactions for a number of key customer accounts, ensuring timely processing of customer orders, forecast demand and delivery information.
  • Confident people leader responsible for a team of up to 4 direct reports. Conveys performance expectations and manages performance and delivery of the team.
  • Apply clear thinking to solve problems and work cross-functionally to achieve timely outcomes which support customer needs.
  • Considers or brings best practices from previous experience to challenge existing processes and drive improvements in KPI's or reduce processing time for team.
  • Customer advocate who can successfully communicate key needs for their customer within wider business.
  • Confident using data, research, and multiple internal/external sources of information to make decisions.
  • Lead projects with cross functional responsibility to drive improvements between 1 or more departments.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Ability to train your team, can explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within department priorities.

Required Qualifications
  • Proven Customer facing and/or Commercial Experience
  • People leadership experience, experience of training, coach and developing teams (direct line-management or indirect through coach/mentoring)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance using KPIs, meet deadlines, set priorities work and implement recovery action when required.
  • A self-starter able to manage your own and the work of your team with minimal supervision.
  • Passionate about team development and be someone always looking to make improvements and challenge processes.
