Are you a data professional with an interest in customer behaviour? Do you want to be the person who translates Customer Data into meaningful understanding that we can use to improve the customer proposition and grow the business?

Our client has a range of data sources, including data from their digital retailing system and loyalty scheme, waiting to be assimilated, structured, and analysed, and internal stakeholders keen to understand what it is telling them.

You will be the primary user of these data sources within the business, gaining a sound understanding of the data itself as well as the stories within it. You will carry out and maintain customer profile and segmentation analysis bringing in a range of relevant external data sources to supplement their own data.

You'll deliver this to the business using your strong stakeholder management skills, and you won't be afraid to challenge the way things are done or the analysis undertaken for us by third parties.

You will work alongside the team commissioning and analysing internal market research and will provide guidance to them to provide robustness to their conclusions.

You will need a solid understanding of GDPR requirements (training can be provided) and you will be particularly competent in SQL (we use Microsoft SQL server) and analysis tools such as Power BI. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google Analytics would be an advantage, as would an understanding of CRM.

Skills Required
• Ability to define database structures to allow for tables to be joined appropriately to allow for efficient querying through SQL.
• Strong SQL skills to join and query data.
• Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS) (Essential)
• Advanced knowledge in Tableau / PowerBI (Required)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Required)
• Modelling: Python (Preferable).

Experience
• Demonstrable experience in data analysis, including the manipulation of large volumes of data through SQL is required.
• Experience of interfacing directly with senior stakeholders is required.
• Experience with Customer Data would be an advantage.

Qualifications Required
• A STEM based degree or equivalent qualification
