Job Title: Customer Host
Reports to: Performance Supervisor/Operations Manager
Location: Truro Bus Station
Main Responsibilities
- To supply a high standard of service to customers visiting the bus station
- To promote our range of tickets and services to generate sales
- To replenish leaflet dispensers with information as required and ensure all publicity is kept up to date
- To administer customer complaints and queries to the standard required and process them to head office on a daily basis
- To assist with the general housekeeping of the bus station to ensure it is clean and welcoming to both internal staff and our external customers
Main Duties
- To receive complaints and respond professionally
- To work with central control supervisors on specific route/individual issues.
- Responding to all customer service requests, which may include lost property, fare/timetable information, ticket sales/refunds and compensation requests.
- Managing visitors arriving at the bus station
Company Responsibilities
- To undertake any additional duties at the request of your line manager, which is deemed to be within your competency
- To adhere to all FirstGroup policies and Procedures
- To undertake any training and development activities at the request of your line manager
- To comply with all Group Injury Prevention policies and support new initiatives
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- To take care of your own safety and the safety of others at all times by complying with the Injury Prevention Principles and with your responsibilities for Health and Safety outlined in UK Bus Health and Safety Policy FG/000 at all times
- To report to your manager or supervisor any injury, collision, dangerous occurrence or a near miss in which you were involved or are aware of having taken place at your place of work, or any concern regarding any health and safety issue
- To carry the Injury Prevent handbook whilst at work and participate in raising safety issues throughout Injury Prevention conversations.
