Role: Customer Service Claims Handler

Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £11.72 per hour
Our client based in Christchurch has an immediate requirement for 5 Customer Service Claims Handlers to join their busy team. You will be the first point of contact for customers who have experienced unforeseen events, you must be able to empathise with customers, understand their unique situations, guide them through the claims process and make a positive impact on their lives.
Day to day as a Claims Handler you will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling claims whilst ensuring providing a high standard of Customer Service. You will assess customer claims against their policies to ensure that claims are quickly paid.
Applicants must have actual claims process experience, we are looking for someone who has full hands-on desktop Household claims handling which would involve registering claims, assessing them against the full policy terms and conditions, making settlement / declinature decisions, and appointing loss adjusters.
The positions are offered initially on a fixed term contract basis and are expected to last for 3 to 6 months. You will have a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 09:00 am till 17:30 pm.
When this assignment comes to an end, depending on performance, there may well be an opportunity for you to transfer to a different department but this will require you to work on a rota basis between the hours of 08:00 am & 20:00 pm Monday to Saturday. These shifts are weekly, and you would be required to work 1 in 6 Saturdays, (You will get a day off in lieu the week before). There may also be bank holidays included in your shifts.
