Customer Services Representative

Job Description

Working as part of a team you will be required to provide quality customer focused services on behalf of East Ayrshire Council's service departments. This involves providing assistance to customers seeking information, support and guidance in relation to a wide range of Council Services including face to face provision at Council Headquarters.
The post-holder will also, where possible, ensure payments are resolved at first point of contact in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Transformation Strategy and the Community Plan.

Requirements

We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks namely “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. It is also a requirement that the reference from your current or most recent employer is from an appropriate senior manager and it is not a reference from a former peer operating at the same level.

The Individual

This is a full time permanent post based within Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock.
The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked as follows:
Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm
The workstyle for this post is ‘Fixed’ - 80-100% of your time at a single office base or work location. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 4 and 5 days per week.
The full time salary of the post is between £23,114 - £24,133 per annum.
