About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Customer Solutions Team Manager to join our team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. The Customer Solutions Team Manager is a crucial Operational part of Vehicle Remarketing (VRM) within Motability Operations. You will be a vital part in supporting the delivery of the VRM strategy, which is to create long-term sustainability. 
 
Your purpose will be to ensure you continue to drive the direction of our working culture through our company values, whilst being a key player in understanding the clear vision we have for our yearly goals and objectives.
 
Your responsibility will be cross two varying roles within one team that work claims in line with our condition management programme alongside supporting a team that manage the logistics journey of a vehicle.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Managing our Logistics operation
  • Managing third party performance in line with our KPI’s 
  • Establish new trials and initiatives to test and learnt to support our customer proposition. 
  • Ensuring that the condition management team are highly skilled in understanding repair techniques. 
  • Ensure that your team’s skill base is continuously up to date.
  • Develop a strong connection with the field-based condition management team based at our Refurbishment partners across the country. 
  • Shape and innovate our claims and Logistics processes with a fair balance of customer satisfaction & commercial viability.
You will ensure both you as a leader and your team are data led and are able to measure and evaluate what a successful claims programme should be to support our wider Vehicle Remarketing vision.
 
You will be managing third party suppliers and support our key stakeholders within the business to ensure we continue to perform with excellence across the area, delivering customer and commercially focused solutions.
 
You will look to seek out new opportunities, using initiative and commercial knowledge to test and learn new trials involving the support from multiple teams across VRM.
 
You will build strong relationships with other Team Managers/senior management and director level colleagues, managing expectations on the delivery of your team, supporting where possible with additional tasks and responsibilities.
 
You will be expected to use data to and market research to benchmark & measure our place in the market throughout the year and be responsible for making decisions that will affect VRM’s overall financials within Vehicle Condition & Vehicle Logistics.
 
This role will be based in Bristol but you will have the opportunity to support your team with training at our Coalville site throughout the year.

You will be comfortable with ensuring your team are experts in what they do and trust their judgement when making decisions providing impact has been taken into consideration before execution.
You will have the ability to ‘think on your feet’ when faced with challenging situations and ensure you always deliver in a constructive and reasonable manner.
You will have the ability to think beyond the conventional and encourage new ideas
You will be confident in building relationships with third party suppliers and other areas of the business and maintaining those relationships effectively.
You will be able to balance risk VS reward when adapting to different pressures and take ownership of decisions within your area that are highly impactful, ensuring you are always delivering the right outcome.
 
Minimum criteria:
• People management/leadership skills
• Coaching and mentoring others within their role
• Ability to deal with challenging situations effectively in a workplace

• Experience of delivering results in a pressurised environment
• Commercially focused
• Experience in the remarketing industry
• Strong time management skills
• Understand the key upcoming challenging with remarketing vehicles

• A good understanding of using MI and insight as a tool for decision making around performance
