Job Description: Customer Support Engineer
Location: Slough, Berks
Salary: 35-40k per annum
Hours: 9-5:30pm inc 1 hour for lunch

We are an electronics design and manufacturing company. We are a world leader in power quality products, IoT devices and refrigeration controls with manufacturing in the UK, Middle East and Far East.
Duties:
• To support our OEM customers with new and existing products.
• To advise on how to use our products, their applications and configuration.
• To be in contact with our customers by email, phone, Teams, etc. on a daily basis as needed.
• Issuing Customer Technical Bulletins on product changes which affect our customers.
• To maintain a Customer support database.
• To specify, prepare and send product samples and accessories to our customers and prospective customers.
• To support customers in the use of our configuration software and mobile applications.
• To authorize product returns.
• To help investigate product returns and failure analysis and provide reports to customers.
• To occasionally visit customers overseas to help them become familiar with our products, to advise on their application and to investigate technical issues.
• To advise on technical literature.
Requirements:
• Candidates should be qualified to HND or higher level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar discipline.
• To have at least 5 years practical industrial experience in working with electronic products.
• Must be able to readily learn the application and operation of our products in detail including their configuration.
• They must have good verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical matters clearly and concisely with an excellent use of the English language.
• Needs a good understanding of electronic circuits and able to read schematic diagrams.
• Able to use hand tools, solder components, crimp cables and use electronic test equipment.
• The candidate will need good problem-solving skills with a highly positive attitude. They need to be self-motivated, well organized and have excellent time management skills.
• They will need to be flexible in the tasks they undertake and will report to the Engineering Manager
• They must be able to work in the labs and offices at head office in Langley without excessive travel time, on a daily basis.
• All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK as well as being ready and able to travel overseas at short notice.
