Our client is looking for a Customs Administrator on a permanent, staff basis, located in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
ROLE
To provide customs administrative services and support to the company. Support the coordination, development, and maintenance of the Company. The Customs Administrator will report to the Compliance Executive or in their absence, the Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
- Monitor and manage client mailboxes
- Compliance Checking Import & Export Entries
- Preparing import/ export amendment forms
- Calculation of import duty and VAT for diversions to home use
- Manifest Validation
- MSS Reconciliation
- Drafting End Use Bill of Discharge
- Drafting IP Bill of Discharge
- Carrying out administrative control of clients End Use materials
- Carrying out administrative control of clients IP materials
- Supporting Operations as and when required
- Attending meetings and business seminars as requested.
HSEQ
- Review and follow company QMS procedures alerting management if you become aware of discrepancies
- Job specific procedure creation and amendments.
Communications
- Assist with PR & Markeng campaigns as requested
- Share ideas for company Newsletter, social media or other marketing mediums.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a good level of general education of at least higher grade in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
Flexibility to suit operational and client requirements.
Skills/Knowledge
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as to work unsupervised
- Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- Motivated with the ability to exercise initiative to problem solve
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload to meet demands
- Accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with client information.
