In support of our continued UK growth, we are currently seeking a Cyber Security Technical Consultant to engage with our customers across the entire solution lifecycle, with a focus on post-sales design, delivery, and handover.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, using your industry and vendor knowledge to provide best-practice advice and solutions that help our customers connect and secure their digital assets.
Your role as Cyber Security Technical Consultant
As a Cyber Security Technical Consultant, you will be engaged with customers throughout the entire solution lifecycle. Most of your time will be focused on delivery, where you will have responsibility for designing, building, and implementing solutions either on-site or remotely. There will also be an opportunity to provide subject matter expertise in support of the pre-sales campaign, where your technical knowledge will help our customers make the right architectural and vendor decisions.
The role will require you to have strong technical, troubleshooting and communication skills; you will deliver excellent documentation, such as HLDs, LLDs, Test Plans, Migration Plans, and handover documentation.
No two days will be the same, but the types of activities the Cyber Security Technical Consultant will be involved in include:
- Act as the technical delivery lead for projects
- Be involved in Proof of Concepts
- Deliver high-quality professional services to our customers, ensuring close attention to detail to minimise any issues or errors
- Produce excellent technical documentation
- Keep abreast of the latest cyber-security technology innovations that may be relevant to our customers, and maintain expertise, as required by the business, through accreditations and vendor certifications
- Provide content and get involved in the creation of videos, blogs, and articles

We hire for attitude and approach over specific vendor experience, but this role does require demonstrable delivery skills in SIEM plus one or more of XDR or SSE. Specific skills we are looking for include:
- SIEM Architecture, Deployment & Configuration
- Chronicle and/or Azure Sentinel. We are also interested to hear from people willing to cross-train from other SIEM vendors.
- KQL and/or YARA(L) knowledge with the ability to create, translate and propose SIEM use cases aligned to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
- XDR Architecture, Deployment & Configuration
- CrowdStrike and/or Defender and/or SentinelOne and/or Palo Alto Cortex with familiarity in usage, best-practice configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
- SSE
- Netskope and/or Zscaler and/or Palo Alto Prisma
Any additional experience you have across Cloud Security, Security Orchestration (SOAR), and Vulnerability Management would be a bonus.
You will have an excellent knowledge of current Cyber Security trends, and we will invest in ongoing training to ensure you keep abreast of what’s happening across the cyber industry.
Job Specifics
- This is a hybrid role, requiring regular attendance at our Basingstoke office (free hot & cold drinks, breakfast items, snacks, lunches, and regular takeaway Fridays are provided to all staff in the office!)
- Hours are full-time: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm – occasional evening or weekend work may also be required
- Some travel should be expected, including overnight stays in the UK and occasionally abroad when necessary
- You will be required to attend customer sites across the UK and must therefore hold a full UK driving licence
