Join a newly formed team within a leading FTSE100 organization, dedicated to ensuring data quality across our enterprise. As part of a small team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving data integrity and efficiency across multiple departments, including Data, Technology, Commercial, and Finance.
Role Overview;
Our client are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with exceptional communication abilities to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and Visio, and will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and reliable data insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities;
- Collaborate with various departments to understand data requirements and challenges.
- Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data quality and integrity, including data ingestion and data lineage.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business objectives, focusing on data quality metrics.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders across the organization, emphasizing data lineage and ingestion insights.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality initiatives, with a focus on improving data ingestion processes and enhancing data lineage visibility.
- Provide support and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives, specifically addressing data quality issues related to ingestion and lineage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst, with a strong emphasis on data quality, ingestion, and lineage.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for data quality issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in conveying complex data concepts related to ingestion and lineage.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Experience working with large datasets and complex systems is a plus.
Location;
- Candidates can be based anywhere in the North or Midlands, expect weekly / bi-weekly travel to central offices.
