Data Analyst - Optimisation/ Water Recycling
£32,000 - circa depending on skills and experience

Based within the Anglian Water region- hybrid working (mixture of office and homeworking with possible site visits)

Water Recycling?is at the heart of our?operations.?The key services that we are responsible for are?delivered by our?in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.
What you will be doing?
As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in providing reliable, timely and concise insight to the Optimisation team, helping ensure that Anglian Water becomes as operationally efficient as possible. You will use and hone your data analysis skills assisting in the identification of opportunities, validation of interventions and sustaining of cost savings across the Anglian Water asset base.
Key responsibilities include:
Work proactively with stakeholders to understand opportunities for analytics to add value, taking a business partnering approach to add maximum value
Develop models with the available data to understand our assets providing baselines against which the asset performance can be measured.
Undertaking enterprise asset performance monitoring, using available data and tools to identify optimisation opportunities.
Utilise your network, catalogues, and data architecture models to source the relevant data. Collecting or inferring new data where appropriate
Combine datasets using coding languages and statistics, being able to reverse engineer data models and understand common data modelling practices.
Create compelling visualisations using a strong understanding of applied User Experience principles, translating complex data into understandable information to support business decisions using the most suitable medium
What does it take to be a Data Analyst?
Good data handling skills - analysis and interpretation
Demonstratable experience of applying strong maths and IT skills to create analytics products
Excellent technical skillset- competent user of IT, new technologies and good knowledge of Microsoft excel & Power BI
Strong stakeholder management skillset - ability to influence and persuade multi-disciplinary teams?
Experience of creating and communicating compelling data visualisations aligned to business goals that inform decisions and drive action
Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
Agile - someone who can adapt to the business needs when required
