Data is at the heart of everything we do at Yours Clothing. Now with sister brands, BadRhino, Long Tall Sally, PixieGirl, M&Co and Evans, data is in more demand than ever. As we move to a cookie-less world where data collection is becoming more complex, we are looking for an individual to join our data team to help drive forward the data strategy for the business.
In this commercially focused role, you will be moving the reporting suite from manual systems to a newly built data warehouse in Snowflake. This will involve creating data pipelines using ETL tools, testing data and writing queries in Snowflake, then automating reports using a combination of excel and data visualization tools. As we solidify the foundations in the base reports, the role will evolve to work on deeper analysis pieces that support the business to reach its growth goals.
Experience SQL query writing, handling large and complex datasets along with the ability to analyze data are all essential skills for this role.
What you will do
- Creation and upkeep of regular reports to monitor sales performance & marketing activity across the different marketing channels
- Extraction, manipulation and analysis of key commercial data from various different systems
- Using visualisation software (Tableau) to produce dashboards that enhance understanding of marketing activity and ecommerce performance across the business
- Troubleshooting data discrepancies and supporting the Data and Insights Manager to implement solutions
- Establishing & maintaining a reporting suite for the marketplaces team to allow for a more efficient process of data transfers with external partners
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Regular and Ad-hoc projects requiring creative approaches to answering data-based queries
What you will bring
- Experience writing queries in SQL is essential
- Basic understanding of data architecture and data warehousing
- Knowledge of a data visualisation tool, ideally Tableau
- Experience using Excel to manipulate and present data
- Knowledge of GA4
- Understanding of ecommerce and what data would be important to a retail business
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset – able to gather the right data from appropriate sources, probe all the facts and consider other perspectives
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Good time management skills to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated and a desire to be the best
- Eager to learn and develop
- Proven ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively
