Data Analyst - Logistics

Pod Talent are very excited to be working with an international medical devices manufacturer, with specialisms within a range of critical healthcare categories who are looking for a Data Analyst - Logistics to join their team in Deeside.

You will be responsible for supporting the global management team in logistic analytics in critical business areas and activities.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst - Logistics to join an industry with a revenue of over $2 billion; they provide products and services in almost 100 countries, with over 10,000 employees worldwide.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst - Logistics, your key responsibilities include:

• Key lead in the analytical activity needed to develop annual global logistic's budget.
• Responsible for monthly distribution expense tracking, accruals alignment with distribution leads and finance, and preparing monthly operational cost review slides.
• Design and build efficient databases to maintain and track volumes moving through the company's distribution centers (DC's) and the monthly spend linked to the volume through put for all distribution operations.
• Build and pull reports from databases to show trends that assist in the management of distribution centers by the regional distribution directors.
• Support Continuous Improvement team in the calculation of savings expectations for key projects.
• Support in the benchmarking and evaluation of logistic processes across the company's global distribution network.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in leading the analytical activities for logistics budget creation accrual and tracking actual spend to budget
• Proven experience in developing and produce reports and trends that aid senior logistic managers in managing distribution operations
• Experience in using data and tools to identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Strong analytical skills (SAP, Excel, Power Bi, SQL)
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
