Operations Analyst Job Description

Overview: As the Operations Analyst at our client site, you will play a crucial role in supporting transport operations, focusing on one of our largest Corporate Accounts. This position is integral to the team, contributing to the success of the global supply chain by providing strong administration, analytical skills, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse data to challenge and improve current processes, driving efficiencies across the client supply chain.
• Support project management and operations through continuous improvement activities, including tenders, baseline measures, management reporting, and savings tracking.
• Streamline reporting processes by automating data reporting tasks.
• Assist in various analytical supply chain projects as requested
• Participate in and support daily operations on-site as needed.
• Optimise vehicle flow domestically and internationally.
• Identify opportunities for gainshare or additional revenue streams

Areas of Analysis:

• Evaluate carrier network reporting for trends and new opportunities.
• Compile quantitative tender profiles for internal and external distribution.
• Optimize transport opportunities based on cost and service data.
• Work to mitigate or reduce annual transport costs.
• Ensure accountability for performance-based KPIs.
• Monitor and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
• Perform bulk updates to databases within set timeframes.
• Excellent IT System knowledge with the ability to manipulate data using Excel spreadsheed data using formula's e.g pivot tables, V look up etc.

This role is dynamic and involves ad hoc project requests, providing a firsthand understanding of the data flow. The Operations Analyst will leverage their expertise in transport analysis to drive continuous improvement, ensuring excellent support and service for the successful development and growth of this key account.
