ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will support the FP&A team to deliver insights to all areas of the business using Power BI, by extracting data from source systems to create data models that are then analysed and transformed into insights through reports, dashboards and Excel files.
You will also play a key part of the project team, helping to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, whilst suggesting, advising and demonstrating solutions. Other duties include being responsible for monitoring data and reporting performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
In this role you will:
- Support the project team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Supply ideas and suggestions that enable users to discover insights from the data, whilst supporting the adoption of best practice.
- Integrating source systems to identify new data sources or additional data points that can be used to support business decision making.
- Propose how the data can be extracted or interrogated for reporting and working with other business units to facilitate this where necessary.
- Create and maintain data models for use by FP&A professionals, ensuring they are an accurate representation of source data.
- Facilitate the creation of data and reporting standards, including its documentation, such as defining standard calculations and custom visualisation measures.
- Monitoring the quality of data in the data models, working to identify and resolve errors with other business units.
- Build reports, dashboards and Excel files as required to support the project and data teams.
- Reviewing and documenting data business processes, identifying areas for automation and developing flows to reduce the number of manual data tasks.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
