Data Analyst - Vp

We at Venn Group are currently working with a global banking firm that that is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team at the VP level. You will be ensuring the data migration initiatives, data integrity and security of data sets. Your proficiency in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, and SSIS, coupled with your experience in migration tools like AWS DMS and Azure Data Migration Service, will be vital in executing and testing migration processes.
Your role will demand a robust understanding of database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, and you will be expected to apply your strong SQL skills daily. Furthermore, your knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data remediation principles will be essential in maintaining the bank's high standards of data management.
Your responsibilities will extend to data security, particularly within the banking context, ensuring compliance with stringent protocols. You will also be adept at documentation, requirements gathering, and translating complex data-related issues into actionable insights.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an exceptional ability to solve problems, develop options, and champion change. You will manage and maintain Risk (RAID) Logs, define and realise benefits, and work on multiple projects concurrently, showcasing your organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
Desirable attributes include a university degree with over a decade of experience in data migration, data integration, or a similar role. Familiarity with tooling such as Alteryx, Informatica, Denodo, Power Query, Power BI, and Tableau will be advantageous. Experience with Microsoft technology and project management tools like JIRA or Service Now will complement your skill set. An understanding of the data sets within a bank that has an investment arm will distinguish you in this role.
