Role Responsibilities:
Cromwell Tools is seeking an Analyst Team Leader to join our Finance department in Wigston, Leicester. In this elevated role, you will report to the Head of FP&A and lead a team of Analysts. You will coach and train Analysts within the team, working on analytics to support big business decisions and putting insights in the hands of the teams that need it. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of high-quality data feeds, insights, and analytics, while maintaining a single source of truth for data within the organisation. Proficiency in SQL-based systems, particularly PostgreSQL, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, fostering their growth, and ensuring they meet individual and team goals.
- Collaborate with other Analysts and the Data Science team Working together on larger data projects as well as supporting the immediate business needs.
- Information Requests: Manage and prioritise day-to-day requests for data and information from various departments within the organisation, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Legacy Reporting Systems: Oversee the decommissioning of legacy reporting systems, working with the team to migrate relevant data and reports to more efficient platforms.
- Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data feeds and reports.
- Single Source of Truth: Ensure that data used across the organisation is consistent and aligns with a single instance of truth, reducing data discrepancies.
- Coaching and Training: Coach and train analysts within the business to enhance their analytical skills and understanding of data practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to identify opportunities for improving data management and reporting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in data analysis and Team Leadership roles.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools, with expertise in Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with SQL-based systems, particularly PostgreSQL, is a plus.
- Experience with data migration and legacy system decommissioning is a plus.
