Data Architect - Snowflake/Azure/Aladdin Data Cloud - Asset Management

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Data Platform Optimization: Play a key role in the Strategic Data Platform Implementation, focusing on optimizing and migrating data flows, data, and functionality from the existing legacy application to enable decommissioning.
• Aladdin Data Migration: Lead the migration of Aladdin data sourcing to Aladdin Data Cloud, ensuring a seamless transition and improved data accessibility.
• Enhancement of Strategic Data Platform: Collaborate on enhancing the current Strategic Data Platform components, with a primary focus on Snowflake and DBT.
• Data Flow Optimization: Design and implement optimized data flows, leveraging Snowflake and DBT for improved performance and efficiency.
• Legacy Application Decommissioning: Contribute to the decommissioning of the existing legacy application Markit EDM by ensuring successful data migration and functionality transition.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide technical insights, and align Data Architecture with business objectives.
• Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices for Data Architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of the Strategic Data Platform.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, specializing in Azure Snowflake and DBT technologies. (i.e. ingestion, orchestration, storage and consumer access)
• Hands-on experience with optimizing and migrating data flows within complex data ecosystems.
• Expertise in implementing data migration strategies, especially in transitioning from legacy applications to cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of Aladdin Data Cloud and its integration within a strategic data platform.
• Collaborative approach with effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for Data Architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Ability to contribute to strategic decision-making regarding data platform enhancements.
• Best practice CI/CD process, i.e. design and implementation involving ADO, GIT hub etc
