About the role

So, as we grow, we’re continuing to strengthen our capabilities and now have a new exciting opportunity for a BI Developer to join our new and growing Data Office team.
The person in post will work within an agile data product team and engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements in context to business intelligence, as well as design and develop meaningful data products. Through the collection, processing and interpreting of large and complex datasets, the BI Developer will apply analytical techniques to generate meaningful MI, actionable insights and will present these to the business.

About you
With a passion for data and analysis, you’ll understand the importance of using data to help drive informed business decisions.
You’ll have good technical skills and some experience in Business Intelligence. You will also have a working knowledge of various reporting/analytics tools, particularly Power BI and Cognos.
Ideally you will have some experience of data visualisation, building interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports, you’ll have the ability to work closely with our business stakeholders, foster strong relationships and trust to understand their business needs and translate these to technical data requirements to then develop fit for purpose quality data products.
You will have an awareness of data governance, data risk, cloud data warehouse design and engineering principles.
As an excellent communicator, you’ll have the ability to use data to tell a story and present this to key stakeholders. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and a strong appreciation for end user report/dashboard consumption including design thinking and UX/UI principles.
