As our Data Engineer based in our London office, you will be part of our Trade Promotion Effectiveness product team where you will be building a scalable and robust data pipeline and automation framework and harden and scale ML models and algorithms together with your Data Science colleagues.

Core Responsibilities
- Build and automate robust and scalable data pipelines and data API services.
- Contribute to the system design, integration architecture, and implementation for the Trade Promotion Effectiveness analytics service.
- Actively contribute to data (science) engineering principles and best practices on competency team level and be an inspiration and sparring partner for your junior colleagues.

You are set to become a member of the Data Science Products (DSP) division, a dynamic team with over 50 data scientists and engineers working out of our offices in Denmark and the UK. DSP spearheads the creation, development, and deployment of a diverse range of data science, AI, and ML products, influencing various business domains. Additionally, the team champions the adoption of superior Data Engineering and architectural methodologies within LEGO Digital Technology.
Do you have what it takes?
You have a background in computer science or have equivalent industry experience in software engineering with experience building data pipelines using data processing tools and frameworks, such as Apache Spark, dbt, Apache Airflow. In addition, you have experience or knowledge on:
- Building and deploying solutions on AWS or similar cloud computing SaaS / PaaS platforms.
- Cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Relational / SQL and non-relational / NoSQL databases.
- Python 3 and are familiar with the core language ecosystem(s) and packages.
- Your development process is test-driven and you are familiar with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Practical knowledge in ML model training and evaluation is a nice to have.
