About Us:

Your skill in handling data could transform the lives of local children

In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making. Data makes an important difference too, informing the way we plan and allocate resources, including the way we manage Children’s Services. From education to healthcare, we are committed to improving the life chances of our children, and that includes ensuring families can access the support they need, when they need it. Through early interventions, often delivered via our borough-wide network of Family Hubs, we aim to prevent demand for services escalating.

The Role:

This is an opportunity to use your data skills to support decision-making across these vital local services. As our Data Officer, you’ll produce reports for senior leaders and funders. That means working across a number of different systems and databases to extract key information. You’ll also ensure the integrity of data in the systems by carrying out data entry, maintenance, upgrades and analysis. Users of our key systems (Synergy and Mosaic) will also look to you for some support, and you will liaise with the software suppliers to resolve issues and queries.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

You have sound experience of collecting, managing and reporting on information using IT systems. This will ideally include using data query and improvement tools. You’re at home using the MS Office suite, in particular Excel. Specific knowledge of Synergy and Mosaic software is welcome but not essential as training can be provided. More important are your well-honed analytical skills, precise attention to detail and proven ability to deliver to deadlines. You’ll also be skilled at making technical topics accessible to service users and working as part of a team.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s will not be considered for this role.

We are committed to promoting equality and respecting diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
