The firm carries out various strategic domestic and on-board transactions as well as delivering regulatory counsel. The firm advises a wide range of industries, including financial services, advertising, shipping and energy.
Your new role
You will be responsible for planning and implementing the firm\'s global Data Privacy and compliance program and analyse the issues surrounding Data Privacy and compliance the firm face. You will assist the chief legal officer and other members of the senior management team regarding regulatory and compliance queries in the jurisdictions the firm operates in. Other responsibilities include working with human resources, finance and tax to advise on Data Privacy and compliance issues and identifying potential issues on an ongoing basis.
What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position and either a law firm or a professional services firm with at least three years post-qualification experience practising in an in-house position. The candidate should have extensive research experience and have the ability to manage lawyers at all levels. An attention to detail is crucial for the role, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to solve issues efficiently.
