My client, a top US law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Data Protection/Data Policy professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office.
This is an extremely busy and varied position – you’ll be partnered with their dynamic, global team of experts across all of the firms offices on a range of leading privacy and Data Policy topics. This team is globally recognised – they’ve served as partners to business leaders, regulators and policy makers developing global solutions for privacy.
As the successful Data Protection & Policy Manager, you’ll be responsible for the following:
- Project white papers on a wide range of privacy law and Data Policy topics
- Presentations, talking points and summaries of papers and research
- Drafting articles for various privacy publications
- Monitoring and reporting on global privacy developments to leadership
- Assisting with the planning, organising and developing content for their Information Policy Leadership team
- Managing ongoing projects, including coordinating project input and publication schedules
- Preparing and editing written materials

To qualify for this position, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have previous experience in Data Protection and Data Policy (3 years minimum), In-House experience desirable
- Have excellent writing, analytical and public speaking skills
- Be a legal graduate (preferred) and/or relevant Masters degree
- Experience writing public consultation responses, white papers or articles in relation to privacy and Data Policy regulations and laws
- Be able to work independently and to tight deadlines
An additional requirement for this position, which is ideal for the firm, is to have an understanding of data driven innovation and technology trends and/or computer science.
