Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Data Protection policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with relevant legislation, including GDPR and any future regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on Data Protection matters, including data handling practices, data sharing agreements, and data subject rights.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance or vulnerability, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Protection authorities, clients, and other stakeholders on Data Protection inquiries and requests.
- Stay informed about developments in Data Protection laws and best practices, and ensure that our policies and procedures remain up-to-date and effective.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
- Lead training and awareness programs to educate employees about their responsibilities regarding Data Protection and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Data Protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) is preferred.
- Experience in a similar role, ideally with experience of UK and European operations
