We are hiring a Power Bi Developer to join a vibrant team with one of my telecoms client in Theale.

Looking for candidates with strong Data Visualisation background with Power Apps and Power Automate and not from Datawarehousing

Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite in Theale

Main Purpose of the role
To deliver the end-to-end process of completing requests for business users; requirement gathering and documentation, development and UAT of reports and dashboards, automation, and app creation. Using Power Query to load, transform, and curate the data required to satisfy the operational questions being asked by the business effectively and efficiently.

Challenging the user request directly to ensure that the requirements meet the true business need and the proposed reporting solution is as robust as possible. Ensuring effective and continuous communication to the requestor, enabling full understanding and agreement of the reporting requirements.

To provide information and data out to the business whilst acting as an outward ambassador for the BI Team, collaborating with identified Power Users and contributing to the overall rollout of Power BI, Automate and Apps, and reporting standards across the business.

Recommend and continually improve approach to source data construction, report development, Power BI dashboard design considerations, performance improvements and monitoring through automation and app creation.

IMPORTANT:

• Training - experience with rolling out and writing training for users to learn Power BI (introduction and intermediate level)
• Power BI expertise - Comfortable with all aspects of the end to end build of Power BI dashboards. experience working directly with the user to understand and facilitate their needs through iterative development. Not afraid to offer suggestions and challenge theirs.
• Candidate must be more interested in developing themselves towards Power BI and the Power Platform (future ambition also to include data science)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver BAU work and report production, including review and continual development of the daily and overall report processes/controls to improve the performance and reliability of production and deliver business efficiencies.
• Deliver all aspects of the end-to-end process of requests for business users, this will include Power BI reports, Power Automation or even Power Apps. Ensuring requirements are appropriately documented in agreed document template, approved, and PBI report developed to meet them.
• Assist in delivery of all aspects of issues, reporting and development in an efficient and effective fashion, aligned to critical business best practices, timeframes and priorities.
• Be an ambassador for the Reporting and Information team across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU, requests and projects.
• Support the rollout of Power BI and Power Platform tools to all areas of the business. Utilising experience and understanding of our environment to make suggestions for effective adoption plans.
• Participate in the training and support to prospective BI Power Users and those already within the established community. Playing an active role in developing and contributing to the community of Power Users, promoting self-sufficiency and support.
• Continually and proactively identify, develop, and plan improvements for all aspects of reporting, data production, access, and self-service reporting, to assist in delivery of a best-in-class solution for reporting within the business.
• Work closely with users to gather reporting requirements, understand & map data, and communicate delivery plans/ updates etc.
