We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join Royal Holloway University of London’s Philanthropy and Alumni Relations team as Database Operations Officer.
We are a university of social purpose, creating positive change for what matters – for our students, for society and for the world. The Philanthropy and Alumni Relations Team builds mutually beneficial relationships with over 100,000 alumni and friends of the University across 170 countries in order to harness support for key strategic university objectives. Efficiently managed data is the foundation of this work.
The post-holder will assist the Database Operations Manager in maintaining and developing the CRM database (Raiser’s Edge); provide data-focused support in areas including gift processing, event management and research; and help colleagues obtain maximum value from data insights.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of using a CRM database, ideally for the purposes of fundraising, supporter relations and alumni engagement; experience manipulating and analysing significant volumes of data and presenting results in a clear, concise format; excellent IT skills including knowledge of MS Office programmes; and a good working knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection / privacy legislation. Experience of the Higher Education sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

The post is based in Egham where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
