We are excited to be recruiting a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team at Sunrise Dental Clinic.
We are flexible for the right candidate(s) and welcome applications for a full-time position. Sedation training would be favourable, but can also be provided by us!
We are a friendly and welcoming family led, specialist dental practice in the heart of Corstorphine.
We are focused on providing excellent patient experiences and care to our patients and promoting great oral health for the whole family. The role would include working alongside the established dental nursing team in general nursing duties. You would be working with a general dentist, hygienist, dentist with special interest in TMD, a specialist oral surgeon, a specialist paediatric dentist and a specialist orthodontist!

Candidates must be:
•GDC registered
•Friendly and have team spirit
•Honest and trustworthy
•Strong communication skills
•Reliable, be proactive and take responsibility
•Excellent attendance record
•Willingness to learn and adapt to change
- Competent in dental nursing duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Develop dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and processing payments
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
Experience:
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visit
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills to navigate electronic health record systems
