Dental Nurse/Trainee Dental Nurse

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse or trainee to join our team. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients, and maintaining a clean and organised dental surgery. You will also be required to assist on reception when required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise dental instruments
- Develop dental X-rays
- Provide chairside support to the dentist
- Ensure the comfort of patients during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Nursing skills: Ability to provide excellent patient care and assist the dentist during procedures.
- IT skills: Proficiency in using dental software for patient record management.
- Patient care: Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Organisational skills: Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and maintain an organised work environment.
- English proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Communication skills: Effective communication with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

We are a long established practice with a close knit team, we want the right candidate who will enjoy working in a small famliy run practice, but still enjoy a wide variety of tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37 per week
