Deputy Building Manager - Grade 11

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Building Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in providing efficient, effective, and economic building-related facilities services. This role involves managing customer/client-facing activities, ensuring a safe and compliant environment at our administrative headquarters and ancillary buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the site-based facilities team in the absence of the Building Manager, overseeing all site-based facilities management services.
- Liaise with the CFM Technical team on property matters to ensure buildings remain safe and operationally compliant.
- Operationally manage, monitor, and audit the delivery of contracted services, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
- Manage and develop the building's reception services to meet the highest standards, greeting VIPs, councillors, staff, and visitors.
- Oversee the building event management service, ensuring efficient management and delivery of corporate, democratic, constitutional, and community events.
- Allocate resources for corporate reception services, event management, mail service, locker keys, porterage, and minor works/repairs.
- Implement improvements to business processes, role changes, and corporate reception/event services to achieve divisional priorities and strategic objectives.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, assisting with incident management and liaising with emergency services.
- Assist in the planning and management of moves and churn related to the building.
- Support CFM's strategic objective by providing high-quality property-related management and performance data at the site operations level.
- Ensure regular briefings to the Building Manager on performance and incidents.
- Develop and implement team and individual development plans for in-house facilities management.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge:
- BIFM qualification or evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Membership of IOSH or equivalent.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of mandatory and statutory building compliance.
- Operational facilities management experience.
Experience: 6. Previous experience of managing customer-focused teams in a large multi-site organization.
- Experience in managing change and implementing advanced workplace principles.
- Ability to project manage multiple projects and operational tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in operational report writing.
- Budgetary control experience of capital and revenue spend in excess of 1 million.
