Deputy Community Shop Manager

£21,645 per annum (pro-rata) / £11.10 per hour

Our client is a leading children’s charity and is seeking a Deputy Community Shop Manager to join their team at the Moreton-in-Marsh branch. You will work closely with the Community Shop Manager to drive business within the area, encourage volunteer and donor support, and maximize every sales opportunity available.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Community Shop Manager:
- Maximize the branch’s financial contribution to support the charity’s work
- Represent the charity in the community and build strong relationships
- Create an exciting shop floor experience
- Lead and motivate a team of volunteers to reach their full potential
- Connect volunteers to the impact of their contribution
- Embed the shop into the local area and get involved in events
- Drive volunteer recruitment and source donated stock from the local community
- Support the development of local donation schemes and engage corporate supporters
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail environment
- A passion for making a difference
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and take an entrepreneurial approach
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of working practices and policies
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Experience of working with volunteers would be an advantage
- An experienced and confident user of Microsoft Office, emails and the internet.
