Job description

As the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Deputy COO), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the COO in driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring client-focused strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the COO and other departmental heads to implement the organisation's operational strategy and drive transformative change mindset.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Leadership: Collaborate with the COO to cultivate a cohesive and proactive operations culture characterised by strong leadership, coaching, and innovation.
  • Operational Support: Aid in developing and implementing the operations strategy, prioritising security and quality, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints, and implementing robust risk management processes.
  • Client Engagement: Demonstrate a profound understanding of customer challenges, nurture relationships with key stakeholders, and act as a spokesperson for the company.
  • Technology and Innovation: Stay informed of technological advancements, evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency, and lead operational initiatives for transformational change.
  • Leadership Competencies: Support strategic thinking, adaptability, resilience, proactive leadership, effective communication, and results-oriented planning

Profile

As the Deputy COO you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management communication skills, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in delivering complex systems to Government and Military sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the Defence Security Tech Sector, including IT architecture design, cybersecurity, and data protection.
  • Previous experience in a managed service environment, with an understanding of ITIL and security best practices preferred.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in Information Technology leadership roles.
