About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Information Security Manager to join us to lead in the delivery of our information security strategy. Driving forward the use of good architectures and best practice in areas such as Identity and Access Management and Software Development.
The role will cover people, process, and technology across all areas of British Heart Foundation (BHF), providing project consultancy from an Information Security viewpoint, managing Information Security risk, and cross covering the rest of the team during absences.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you
With a solid understanding of information security across all domains. It will be beneficial if you have specific experience in some of the following areas: Identity and Access Management, Security Architectures and DevSecOps.
You'll be comfortable with leading change and challenging where appropriate to drive good security standards.
A team player who enjoys working with others to achieve the team goals.
To be successful in this role you’ll also have experience of the following:
• Microsoft Azure experience
• Microsoft Defender Security Stack experience
• DevSecOps experience
• Identity and Access Management experience
With excellent communication skills, you’ll be able to liaise with people at all levels of the business and external partners. You’ll also have strong analytical skills, able to see a problem and identify solutions.
You’ll have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to develop strong working relationships quickly and with ease. You’ll be confident and able to work independently and will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with technical and non-technical people in a clear manner.
