SalaryWe are currently recruiting for a Capital Reporting Actuary for a FTSE 250 leading retirement business, this role is a deputy to the Head of Capital Reporting and will have 2-3 direct reports. This is a permanent role, offering a highly competitive package.
They are seeking an experienced actuary with 5 years PQE in predominately Capital Reporting in the life annuity market with ideally some management or mentoring experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Validating and analysing the internal model results such as; impacts from internal model changes, calibration and validation of the capital pricing model, stress and scenario testing on the capital position and internal model approach reviews.
- Providing Solvency II capital related MI
- Owning the effective prioritisation and scheduling of activities required for business-as-usual reporting, analysis, and process developments
- Supporting the strategic direction for the team’s reporting systems, processes and methodologies and take responsibility for reviewing process flows and wastage within models to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leading, managing, motivating and developing reports
Experience required:
- A Qualified Actuary, with experience in Life Insurance.
- A good technical understanding of; Solvency II reporting metrics, capital modelling, stress and scenario testing and matching adjustment.
- Ideally some knowledge/experience of UK pension risk transfer.
- Modelling knowledge in VBA or R.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of effectively managing various Stakeholders.
- Experience in reviewing processes and implementing improvements.
- Management or mentoring experience
