Job description

An exciting opportunity has come available to help the University’s planning function as it transitions to a new operating model. The role is offered on a fixed-term basis. The Deputy Head of Planning will play a key role in meeting the university’s statutory reporting requirements and ensuring its student survey function is administered effectively with outputs appropriately analysed and disseminated. This is integral to supporting our students to succeed. The role will be expected to provide both hands-on capability and leadership in these areas as well as assisting where required and contributing positively to the culture of the directorate.  The role-holder will be expected to have experience in compiling, completing and data quality assurance checking higher education statutory returns such as HESA Student, the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) return and Unistats. Experience in working through the HESA Data Futures transformation within an institutional setting will be an advantage. The role is being offered on a full-time fixed-term basis until the end of October 2024 with a possible three-month extension on top of this. Part-time applications will be considered.
