Kempshott Infant School is situated on the outskirts of Basingstoke. We are a three form entry school that has strong links with the community. The Governing Body are seeking to recruit a Deputy Head/SENDCo to join our school in September 2024.
Deputy Head/SENDCo, you will be passionate about children’s learning and welfare and share our aspiration to achieve the very best for them. You will have a proven history of quality teaching and of using your strong leadership skills to provide clear direction. You will be an active listener, providing high levels of constructive challenge and support to colleagues. You will communicate effectively and work productively in a wide range of settings and situations.
This is a non-class based role.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to building positive relationships and working with pupils, staff, governors and parents to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has experience of developing teaching and learning within a school.
- Be an effective communicator who is highly motivated and able to motivate others.
- Have the NASENCo accreditation and a passion for inclusion.
- Be able to lead curriculum development.
- Have had previous experience in a senior leadership position.
- Be able to champion change, leading by example and encouraging others to make the change.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards in all areas of school life.
- Keep up to date with the latest research and curriculum developments.
- Strive to improve their practice through continuing professional development.
- Have experience of handling safeguarding concerns.
