This is a 4 bed mixed home with young people with ASD. The ladies love lots of activities (Theme Parks, Horse-riding, baking, Skating) All we ask is that you are a caring and fun person that like to be out and about!

Role Description:
As the Children's Residential Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the residential home. Working closely with the Residential Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to the care team. Your main objective will be to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Residential Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Support and supervise the care team, providing guidance and mentoring as required.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring that the individual needs of each child are met.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.
- Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders, including families, social workers, and other professionals.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that fosters the social, emotional, and educational development of the children.
- Collaborate with the Residential Manager to ensure effective budget management and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service by identifying areas for development and implementing necessary changes.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting.
- A recognised qualification Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
