Deputy Manager - Children's Ebd

Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a national childcare provider as they require a motivated and experience Deputy Manager for a 4 bedroom children's EBD service in the Runcorn area that supports 3 young people aged between 6 - 12. This is a full-time permanent position with a working pattern the consist's of long-days and sleeps (sleeps paid at GBP62.64).Your new roleIn your new role as a Deputy Manager you will be supporting 3 young people (1-girl and 2-boys) aged between 6 - 12 with emotional and behavioural disorders. You will build strong constructive relations with the young people and your new colleagues as to ensure that their needs are at the heart of all operations and to promote positive behavious. As the Deputy Manager you will work alongside the service manager to recruit, train, manage, and promote the in-house team, holding regular training/service reviews, and observations, you will also help to identify and transfer to a new service in the near future (the new service will be local to the Runcorn/Halton area). In terms of support you will lead from the front, ensuring that all team members are supporting to the highest capacity. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful with your application you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 24 months referenceable managerial/senior experience in the last 5 years as well as a minimum NVQ Level 3 residential childcare or equivalent qualification. Other desirable requirements are:

• An NVQ Level 5 or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
• A full driving license and access to a vehicle is advanatageous but not essential
• A willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with EBD and/or challenging behaviours
