Deputy Nursery Manager

Reed Education are seeking a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join a lovely day nursery in Scunthorpe as soon as possible. The nursery has recently undergone a full refurbishment, including a new garden, and offers a management scheme for those looking to progress their career. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for early years education and a desire to take on a leadership position within a dynamic setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and educational programs in line with EYFS standards.
- Assist with staff management, including training, development, and appraisals.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of activities that cater to the needs of individual children.
- Step into the Nursery Manager’s role when required, ensuring continuity of leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an early years setting.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
