Deputy Manager - Outpatients

Oxford | Clinical Lead/Sister | Permanent | Full time | Includes weekend work

Up to £45,000 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Deputy Manager/ Clinical Lead Nurse in the Outpatients Department at The Manor Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. With excellent leadership skills, you hold post-registration experience in care of patients, pre and post operatively, in everything from Cardiac to Colorectal, Orthopaedic, ENT, Gynae and Urology.

As a Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead Nurse, you will:

  • Support the Manager in the efficient running of the unit
  • Co-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety
  • Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care
  • Work well with consultants who are experts in their field
  • your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery
  • Champion a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety

Overtime

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
