Sodexo Health and Care has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Security and Logistics Manager to support the day-to-day management of our Security, Couriers and Car Parking services. Based at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you will include ensure the provision of high-quality, cost-effective services that meet the requirements of our contract, supporting the manager in monitoring and reporting incidents, responding to emergencies, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional customer service. Services include Security, Couriers and Car ParkingTo provide support to the Security & Logistics ManagerTo monitor and report daily all security incidents, DATIX, CCTV and any other reports required.Respond to emergency situations including fire, major incidents etcEnsure compliance with ‘Secure’ documentation (ISO9001).To ensure that staff within services are supervised, developed, and motivatedTo ensure that the correct equipment and materials are used to meet the required standards and that these are used safely and stored correctlyCover for the wider portering and Logistics team in absence of deputy portering managerTo ensure that all Trust policies and procedures and current legislation is adhered to, and that staff are aware of their individual responsibilities To be responsible through Supervisors for the control of the service procedures to ensure that the highest standards of service are achievedTo develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with all Trust employees and ensure that they are dealt with promptly and courteouslyConstantly assess the risk to the Trust for all service provisions including COSH / electrical registerTo take responsibility for workforce planning including the recruitment and arranging of inductions for new startersTo be responsible for the planning of workload of Supervisors and ensuring that appropriate Supervisory cover is provided across all servicesTo take responsibility for a proactive approach to be applied to the management of sickness absence within service areas. This will include ensuring that accurate records are kept, overseeing return to work interviews. This will also include working with the HR Officer to make Occupational Health referrals and carrying out sickness review meetings where staff are in breach of the relevant policiesAssist in the assessment of current staff professionalism and competence, working closely with the Learning and Development Officer to identify training needsBe responsible for the security of all staff contact records and patient information ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Code of Practice on Confidentiality and Data Protection.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou will have an operational background and experience of managing employees within a service environment and maximising the performance of a team.This is a highly collaborative position that calls for exceptional leadership qualities.
