Our client is a brand new nursery opening from April 2024 in Aylesbury, and they are seeking enthusiastic, energetic and motivated individuals with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for their Nursery Manager and Nursery Deputy Manager positions. Nursery Manager & Deputy Manager
Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager and a Deputy Manager to join their brand new nursery. The role will suit an organised individual with a passion for early years care and education. The successful candidate will:
Ideally have a management qualification - would prefer a Qualified Teacher Status / Early Years Professional Status / Early Years Teacher Status or another approved Level 6 qualification who will be working directly with the children and will be counted in the ratio.Hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification or above in childcare and previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.Hold two years post-qualifying experience in a nursery / childcare setting.Have a current First Aid qualification.Be DBS checked and on the Update Service.Have previous leadership or supervisory experience in a similar or higher position.Have a sound knowledge of childcare development from birth to five years.Be passionate to work with children.Have a desire to learn and grow.Work closely alongside the Directors to drive the business forward.Make all children and their families feel special every day and part of a larger family.Work closely alongside their colleagues, supporting and encouraging others.Be imaginative, creative, and not afraid to dress up, be covered in paint or gloop, and most importantly to have fun!
Job Duties Summary:
Work as a leader - leading the team.Work directly with the children and know every child in your class.Open / close and fully manage the setting with the help of other staff.Working closely with the Directors taking lead in the running of the setting as a whole. Manage the occupancy to ensure it shows growth and meets the business aims.Maintain accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures.Manage, monitor, and control budgets and maintain petty cash systems.To achieve and maintain high standards of care.Identify training needs, develop a training plan, and evaluate training undertaken by staff.To effectively lead and manage the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, supervision, mentoring, training, and support to all colleagues.Ensuring the records are updated and maintained at a high standard throughout the setting.Adhering to Health and Safety policies, maintaining risk assessments, and relevant policies and procedure documentation.Working in partnership with parents / carers to best support children’s care and development.Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.Liaise with external agencies to assist in obtaining advice, guidance, and intervention to support children and their families within the setting.
Our client offers a competitive pay with an hourly rate ranging from £13 - £16 an hour, based on qualification and experience with a minimum of 8 hours a day shift.
