We are seeking to appoint a Dermatology and Cell Biology Technician in the School of Biological Sciences.
Context of the role
To support a wide range of research activities in the fields of Dermatology and Cell Biology with the specific emphasis on the role of bioactive peptides and to be responsible for the general laboratory facilities. This involves independently performing grant driven experiments, contributing to experimental design, consultation with other researchers, data analysis, presentation and reporting. The post also involves advisory and supervisory roles with respect to ensuring there is a sound scientific knowledge base available and there is compliance with University procedures and will include maintenance, advice, induction with regard to the procurement and use of equipment and general laboratory organisation. The post holder will need to liaise with others to ensure they have a clear understanding of the needs of the School, Faculty and University in order to achieve their goals.
