About The Role
Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager, the focus is on the ability to manage, create, and implement practical innovative cost-effective designs to gain market share by generating and releasing new products.
Managing components and assemblies from concept stage to introduction, including design for manufacturer, sourcing, release, and launch.
Requirements
- BSc/Eng in an Engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years industry design related experience
- Experience in component & assemblies design
- Understanding of GD&T
- Experience with AutoCAD & Solidworks, Workflow, Tropos, Adobe Illustrator
- IT Literate – Microsoft Office/Excel
- Knowledge of machining processes
- Understanding of materials and supply chain management
- Experience in product testing and standard interpretation
- Project management
About You
Within the Product Development team, you will be a capable, experienced hands-on designer.
A design led point of reference with the capability to design, analyse, interpret, and implement solutions for new kitchen appliance products and features, conducting market research and benchmarking on customer trends within the industry.
Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding and adherence to business processes, national and international standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001.
