Job Title:Design Engineer
Working hours: 07.00 – 16.30
Salary: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 Depending on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop innovative product designs, manufacturing methodologies, costings, and documentation.
Collaborate closely with the lead engineer and technical team to comprehend customer requirements, devising solutions using standard/existing products where applicable.
Oversee technical and sales projects, and handle quoting responsibilities during peak periods or when the technical department is short-staffed.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with the company's engineering policies using the ERP system.
Modify customer CAD files for quoting purposes.
Preferably possess experience in surfacing for press tool creation, among other applications.
Generate engineering drawings for internal and external use.

Works effectively alone or collaboratively within a group.
Proficient in SolidWorks is highly desirable.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to enhance efficiency and performance through well-designed products and processes.
Aims to streamline the design aspects within the organization, exploring generic approaches for jigging parts with machined bases, etc.
Capable of attending customer meetings to discuss requirements and showcase capabilities.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
2-5+ years in a role related to Product Development Engineering.
Project Management experience.
