A leading UK based Aerospace Engineering company based Buckinghamshire are looking to grow their talented Mechanical Design department at both the Senior and Principal Engineer level by hiring a a number of new Engineers in their Buckinghamshire based offices.

- Design Experience in a safety critical environment/industry (e.g. Defence, aerospace, nuclear, automotive, maritime, or similar)
- 3D CAD modelling.

Desirable Experience:
- Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- NX 12 & Teamcenter 11
- ASME Y14.5 drawing standard
- Design Failure Modes and Analysis
- FEA using hand calculations and software
- Multibody dynamics modelling and motion simulation
Areas of Responsibility:
- Generating design concepts and developing and supporting existing designs and products, in line with regulatory and customer requirements and in line with the engineering specification, including associated international civil and military aviation and defence standards as well as MBA requirements.
- Production of commercially viable product definition information (PDI) including 3D models, detail, and assembly engineering drawings.
- Effective workload planning
- Supporting the Team Lead, Programmes / Integrated Project Team in defining all necessary engineering work required to gain final acceptance on new and existing products.
- Carrying out all necessary performance and structural calculations via hand calculations and other software tools such as spreadsheets and FEA etc. to support design development.
- Producing top level design layouts
- Calling and chairing design reviews as required.
